Social Media as a marketing tool is at its most effective when a message speaks to the one, and is shared with the many. The Make KONY Famous campaign is the textbook example: The producers of the 30 minute mini-documentary hoped for 50,000 people to see it. Within 72 hours after its release some 5 million had seen it. The organization behind the mini-doc had deliberately set about to create the viral phenomenon.
Team Starkid was not deliberate when they posted on YouTube their first Potter parody – A Very Potter Musical. Two of the students behind the production shared the link with two Harry Potter fandoms and an Internet sensation was born. I believe the last release said 100 million views had been logged. Team Starkid’s business model has expanded from YouTube postings to a website and, last fall, a live tour of the USA and Canada. From virtual to real…social media is here to stay as a marketing tool.
The Purpose of this Post
The motivation behind this post is my desire to see Bravura’s new promotional video go viral. This is the one writing with the purpose of sharing with the many her newest obsession: The Canadian baritone trio – Bravura. I want you to watch the video and if you like it, share it with your social network. That’s it. That’s all.
Full Disclosure
I do not know, nor do I work for Bravura. I saw them in concert for the first time last Friday afternoon. I am just a fan who is sharing a music video that I know will brighten your day. If I am right, please share it with people whose day you wish to brighten. Show some social media bravura…please.
