MLH Youth Fund Pub Night – February 24, 2011

The price of tickets go up February 4, 2011 – with one exception. I’ll be selling them at the advance price February 5, 2011 at Markville Centre in Markham for one day only. So no matter how you look at it – there is only one week left to purchase tickets in advance, saving $15 per person. That’s a lot of beer tickets!

The Fund is all about new horizons for youth. We make it possible for deserving youngsters to participate in their class trip. Our scholarship winners cannot pay for the trip themselves. They don’t get a free ride, however. They have to participate in funding raise schemes arranged by their school. Our scholarship winners are nominated by their teachers, so we are confident that their need is real.

The Pub Night is our major annual fundraiser. 2011 is our 5th anniversary Pub Night, so you can bet it will be extra special.

Charity Pub Night, February 24, 2011

Tickets are on sale now for the MLH Youth Fund Pub Night, in Toronto at Steam Whistle Brewery, February 24, 2011. Buy early, because you’ll save money – tickets are currently $50 per person, but $65 after February 4, 2011.

Cara Matthew and her band, as well as Thursday Night Jam will be performing. Admission includes finger food throughout the night. Beer and Wine will be on sale. There will be a silent auction – one auction item is an autographed Major League baseball.

The MLH Youth Fund provides travel scholarships for deserving youth who would not otherwise participate in their class trip. The Fund is a registered charity and tax receipts will be issued for donated auction items. Email me if you want to donate an item. Items must be in their original packaging to qualify for a tax receipt.

The MLH Youth Fund is building the next generation of travelers.

The Aviva Community Fund donates a large sum of money to deserving charities. Who the organization helps is determined somewhat by voting. Public voting. Every one who registers gets 10 votes – 1 per day. registrants vote for the “best” idea in a category. My favorite charity – the MLH Youth Fund - is participating. We need all the votes we can get to make it to the next round. If we are one of the finalists we can double the good work we do this year – double it. And it won’t cost you a dime. So please vote – and vote – and vote.
